Gerald “Jerry” J. Wilmink, PhD presently serves as the Director of Business Development and Licensing at Cleveland Clinic Innovations. Jerry has a broad and deep range of technical, operational and product commercialization expertise which he gained as an executive at several AI digital health companies and assignments in the Department of Defense’s (DoD) advanced research sector. These positions range from serving as the CBO of CarePredict, founder & CEO of WiseWear, starting the first Terahertz biosensing laboratory in the DoD, operating as an advisor for the TechStars program, and serving as a program manager for our country’s SBIR/STTR product commercialization program. Experience raising millions of dollars of private and federal funds, identifying and executing strategic technology acquisitions, recruiting world-class teams and launching innovative life-saving connected products. Jerry has penned several patents, published over 50 technical manuscripts, book chapters, and has delivered over a 150 keynote presentations at leading conferences including CES, RISE, TEDMED, SXSW, Startup Health, and SPIE.
