State Representative Jake Teshka was elected to serve House District 7 in 2020. Prior to his service in the Indiana General Assembly, Teshka represented the 5th District on the South Bend City Council. In addition to public service and his career as a business development professional, he is focused on making a positive impact in his community as a literacy volunteer and member of several nonprofit boards.
Representative Teshka is Vice Chairman of the House Financial Institutions Committee, as well as a member of the House Education Committee and Public Policy Committee. Much of Teshka’s work in the legislature has focused on reducing regulatory barriers to start-ups, incentivizing homegrown entrepreneurs to remain in the Hoosier State and ensuring that state government is positioned to address emerging technologies.
